Xavier after some serious graffiti work on my grill.  Think he was enjoying himself?

Our recent trip to the zoo marked the first time that both of the kids were able to walk around by themselves most of the day. Of course, mommy and daddy were always close by, and at one point, Ali insisted on holding hands with Xavier.  It resulted in this really adorable snap-shot of Megan and the kids walking to see the gorillas.

Here’s a picture of Ali’s first black eye.  :(  She fell at day care and smacked her face right on the corner of a table.  It actually looks a lot worse in real life, but this gives you a pretty good look at it.

Just wanted to throw this up to brighten anybody’s day :)  I’ve got a small backlog of photos, so expect a full album soon.

This is a sweet depth-of-field photo I am pretty proud of.  It’s a picture of the circuit board inside of my old Creative Nomad Jukebox mp3 player.  It’ll be a part of the Re-using an Old Hard Drive post on Technobabbles soon.

Quite possibly my favorite picture of Ali ever.  It was part of the 4th of July Weekend album, but I just had to highlight it here.

Between the fireworks, icecream, and swimming this weekend, Josh and I found a little time to take the kiddos to a nearby park to play.  Of course,  the night was capped with another fireworks display, but in the midst of all the craziness, Xavier and Ali set out to explore the amazing (and almost unheard of) wide-open expanse of the soccer field at Arcadia Park.

Saturday afternoon, we headed over to Southlake Town Square to let the kids play outside for awhile.  Since it was so hot outside, we headed to the fountains.  Xavier and Ali had a blast and we got lots of comments about how well behaved they were (obviously they’ve never seen them at home).
