Anyway, on to how much fun Xavier had. We started the party off with his presents, that way he could get them all opened before tearing into his birthday cake. He was so funny opening his presents, he’d get one opened and be completely focused on it. So we had to pretty much force him to open the rest after the first one. Once all his toys were out and put together, he was literally spinning around trying to figure out which to play with.

After he played for a bit we finally let him tear into his dino-cake. Meg and her mom had worked on it off and on for the two days leading up to the party, so it was pretty tough for Meg to let him tear it apart . She managed though. Xavier definitely liked the green icing. I think his entire face, hands, and forearms were green . Check out the pictures if you haven’t already.

Anyway, it was really good to get back Ohio and to see everyone and spend a couple weeks with them. Unfortunately, Xavey ended up getting an ear infection in both ears on the last few days in Ohio, but he was quite a little trooper. The drive back to Texas was actually really easy because he did so good. So for anyone who hasn’t come to visit us yet, if Meg and I can drive it with Xavey being sick, then you have no excuses!

So, now that it’s actually December I went ahead and put up some pics of Xavey playing with the Christmas tree. He, of course, loves playing with/eating the ornaments and trying to rip down the whole tree, so it’s pretty funny. Since we like to extend the Christmas season as long as possible, we’ve had the tree up since before Thanksgiving , and Xavier loves just sitting there, staring at the lights. Megan also dressed Xavey up like an elf just to get him in the holiday spirit – from the looks of the picture he was not amused.

On another note, we are headed up to Ohio for some much needed rest, relaxation, and family time. We’ll be at Meg’s parent’s house on Christmas morning, then head to my ‘rents that evening. So if you’ll be in Ohio for the holidays give us a call.

Trick or Treat! Xavier had his first Halloween tonight. We sat out in our garage to pass out candy and we put Xavey in his monkey costume. He looked absolutely adorable (according to all the trick-or-treater’s parents). His costume and all his layers underneath pretty much made him immobile, but he didn’t seem to mind too much; he was much too preoccupied with trying to figure out why he had monkey hands and not his little fingers.
