The Texas Heat

The past week has seen every day hit about 105°F. So I thought I’d share with you the craziness of the heat inside a car when it’s that hot outside. Below are pictures of my sunglasses from American Eagle. I’ve had these for several years, and they’ve held up great so far. That is until I left them sitting on the console of the Jeep during a hot Texas afternoon. As you can see, they actually melted from the heat, and by the time I saw them that evening, they had cooled again into that unwearable mess. The only thing I can figure is that since I had them sitting on the console folded up, the metal got so hot that it became maleable and simply bent under the pressure of gravity. Pretty crazy, if your sunglasses have been in the car and didn’t melt, definitley be careful when you go to put them on your head
