4th of July Weekend

Wow, what a great 3 day weekend we had over the 4th.  The past month has been pretty crazy for our family.  Meg started her new job, which led to the kids starting daycare, and Meg and I had to figure out who was dropping off and picking up Xavier and Ali.  We’ve finally got our hectic schedule all sorted out and are in a pretty good routine now, so the 4th of July weekend was a really fun break for us to spend a lot of time with the kids.

Along with swimming every single morning of the break (too hot later in the day), we also went to two different fireworks shows with the kids.  Unfortunately, during the first show Megan got some firework shrapnel in her eye and pretty much ruined the rest of the night for her.  :(  The second show was really fun though, they set off the fireworks at one end of a nice park in our neighborhood, so we sat at the other end and had a really good view where it wasn’t too loud for the kids.

Xavier and Ali had a blast all weekend, they love the pool, and Ali even has a little suntan after just a couple days.  We took a ton of pictures so check them out here.
